The beaches on the west coast of Phuket island are best known for their spectacular waves and range among the top 15 Asian surf sites. The best time for surfing is May through October, when waves are at their best thanks to ideal weather conditions and the monsoons. Sometimes the surf season lasts until the end of October. You can bring your own surfboard with you or rent one at the many rentals on the island that can meet all surfers’ needs.
